Phantom Power

Phantom power on the S16 Snake can be controlled from the X32 Desk. Some things to check if it is not working:

There are a couple of settings that could keep you from turning on 48v from the console, and they're all found under the Preamps tab under Setup. On the far right side, you want to make sure that HA Gain Split, Lock Stagebox, and the 2 HA remote boxes are all unchecked. Any of these would prevent phantom from turning on.

Saving Scenes

The desk has the ability to save a scene - this saves all of the desks paramters for later retrieval. So it could be used to save all the settings for each band on an open mic night, loading them as they setup for performance.

Recording a performance

The X32 offers the possibility to record a 2-track of your mix (or any other selection of signals) directly onto a USB-stick/external USB hard disk:

Note: Due to the FAT format of the stick, the file size will be limited to 2 GB, which is about 3 hours of stereo recording. Please test the recording capability of your USB device before you do the “real stuff” as some sticks may not be supported or be too slow. We also recommend you defragment your USB device prior to recording. The recording will be done as 16-bit WAV file with the selected sample frequency of the console
